Etown Falls to MAC Rival FDU-Madison, 14-10

MADISON, N.J. --- Elizabethtown fell to 4-4 overall and 3-2 in the Middle Atlantic Conference with a 14-10 road loss to FDU-Madison Saturday. FDU-Madison improves to 5-3 overall and 3-2 in the MAC with the win.

After a 2-2 deadlock at the end of the first quarter, FDU-Madison began to pull away, taking a 6-4 lead into halftime. FDU-Madison went up 11-6 by the conclusion of the third quarter, and Etown outscored the host Devils 4-3 in the fourth quarter.

Sean Thomson (Malvern, PA/Great Valley) led Etown in scoring with five goals, and he had two assists. He also led the Blue Jays with 11 ground balls. Allen Churchman (Aston, PA/Garnet Valley) led Etown with three assists, and he scored a goal. Matt Newell (Malvern, PA/Great Valley) added two goals, two assists, and three ground balls, second on the team in all three catergories, to the Blue Jays' efforts.

Etown returns to action on the road Wednesday, April 10 against MAC rival Messiah for a 4:00 p.m. game.
