Blue Jays Fall to Goucher, 8-2

BALTIMORE, Md. --- Elizabethtown came out on the short end of a low-scoring 8-2 non-conference contest at Goucher Wednesday, as the Blue Jays dropped to 5-8 overall in their first season of existence with the loss. Goucher, a 2001 Capital Athletic Conference playoff competitor, improved to 9-6 in 2002 with the win.

Elizabethtown was held scoreless through the first three quarters. Justin McQuaid scored the Blue Jays' first goal, unassisted, with 13:33 left to play.

Etown's second goal was scored with just one second remaining as Matt Newell fired home a feed from Sean Thomson.

Etown returns to action on the road Saturday, April 27 against MAC rival Widener for its final game of the season. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
