ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE MEN'S LACROSSE Blue Jays Down Moravian 17-4 BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College improved to 6-3 overall and 4-1 in the Middle Atlantic Conference with a 17-4 road blowout of Moravian College Monday evening. Moravian, which is playing in its first season as a varsity team, drops to 3-8 overall and 0-5 in the conference with the loss. Reid Allison (Ridgefield, CT/Ridgefield) was Etown's leading goals scorer with four goals. He also had one assist and three ground balls over the course of the game. Tim Sieger (Levittown, PA/Conwell-Egan) scored three goals and had three assists to lead the Blue Jays in points with six, and Allen Churchman (Aston, PA/Garnet Valley) had three goals, two assists, five points, and three ground balls. Matt Newell (Malvern, PA/Great Valley) also scored three goals for Etown and had one assist and three ground balls. Elizabethtown out-shot Moravian 36-11 and had a 55-22 advantage in ground balls. Mike Dunn (Upper Darby, PA/Monsignor Bonner) led Etown in ground balls with 11, and he took all of the Blue Jay's faceoffs, winning 17 of 25 attempts. Goaltender Brian Burke (Upper Darby, PA/Haverford) played the first half and made four saves, and Fran McKeever (Springfield, PA/Springfield) minded the Etown net for the second half and made three saves. Etown will return to action at home Wednesday, April 14 against Lycoming in a 4:00 p.m. Middle Atlantic Conference game. at Bethlehem, Pa.
