Etown Edges Scranton 12-9 on Late Rally

SCRANTON, Pa. --- Elizabethtown improved to 4-6 overall and 3-2 in the Middle Atlantic Conference with a 12-9 win over the University of Scranton Saturday. The Blue Jays out-scored Scranton (0-9 overall, 0-5 MAC) 4-1 in the final 10 minutes of the game to seal the win.

Three of Etown's goals in the Blue Jays' late burst were scored by Justin Griffey (Aberdeen, MD/Aberdeen), who finished the game with a game-high total of four goals. Matt Newell (Malvern, PA/Great Valley) scored three more goals and had an assist for Etown. Bryan Miller (West Chester, PA/Henderson) and Matt Seiboth (Havertown, PA/Haverford) each scored two goals, and Seiboth had one assist. Allen Churchman (Aston, PA/Garnet Valley) scored one goal and led Etown in assists with three.

Etown will return to action Wednesday, April 13 when it hosts Widener University in a 4:00 p.m. Middle Atlantic Conference game.
