ETOWN BLANKS CONCORDIA, 3-0, FOR 600TH VICTORY IN PROGRAM HISTORY; EMU WINS CLASSIC WITH 6-0 WIN OVER STEVENS

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Joe Franc, Dan Harris and Adam Dively scored second half goals to lead Elizabethtown past Concordia (Minn.), 3-0, in the second round of the Financial Trust/Brothers Pizza Classic on Saturday.

The win was the 600th in the history of Etown soccer, making the Jays only the second program in NCAA Division III history and the fifth in all division of NCAA men's soccer to reach that milestone.

In the day's other action, Ryan Brenneman scored a goal and added three assists to lift Eastern Mennonite (3-1) to a 6-0 win over Stevens Tech (1-1) and the tournament championship.  With two goals and four assists for the weekend, Brenneman was named the Classic's offensive most valuable player.  Teammate Mike Zook earned defensive MVP honors.

Etown (2-3) broke on the scoreboard in the 51st minute when Franc headed home a direct kick from Wyeth Raws for his fourth goal of the season.

Less than seven minutes later, Harris blasted home his first collegiate goal off a set-up from Dively to make it 2-0 in favor of the home squad.

Dively then sealed the historic victory by hammering home his first goal as a Blue Jay following a perfect slip header from Brian McKinney at the 81:22 mark.

Doug Timm needed to make only one save to pick up his second shutout of the season.  Bryan Hoy led the Jays with four shots.

Paul Toso made six saves in the nets for Concordia (2-2).  Forrest Olson, Todd Stebleton and Cully Bachmeier recorded the shots for the Cobbers.

Etown returns to action on Wednesday, September 16 at home against Muhlenberg College.  Game time is 4 p.m.
