LUCKY SEVEN: OSWALD'S LATE GOAL GIVES ETOWN 2-1 WIN AT DREW, EXTENDS Etown WINNING STREAK TO SEVEN GAMES
MADISON, N.J. --- Tim Oswald scored with 6:52 remaining in regulation to lift Elizabethtown over Drew, 2-1, in Middle Atlantic Conference action on Thursday. With the win, the Blue Jays ran their winning streak to seven games and improved to 8-3 on the season.Chris Helsel scored his third goal of the season and increased his consecutive-game scoring streak to a season-high six games. Jason Bono scored the goal for Drew (6-2-2).
Doug Timm made nine saves in the Blue Jay nets to improve his record to 6-1 on the year. Etown has allowed only three goals during its seven-game winning streak.
The Blue Jays, currently ranked sixth in the
Mid-Atlantic region, return to action on Saturday, October 3 at Wesley
College. Game time is 3 p.m.
