ETOWN SHUTS OUT NATIONALLY-RANKED DICKINSON, 3-0, IN KEY REGIONAL MATCHUPELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Joe Franc scored in the 75th minute to break open a scoreless game and lead Elizabethtown past nationally-ranked Dickinson, 3-0, in Mid-Atlantic region action on Tuesday. With the win, the Blue Jays improved to 11-4 on the season. Chris Helsel and Bryan Hoy scored goals 16 seconds apart in the 89th minute to help Etown seal its tenth victory in the last 11 games. Dominic Marano assisted on the Jays' final two goals. Doug Timm made five saves to earn his fifth shutout of the season for Etown. Michael Murphy stopped four shots for Dickinson (11-2). The Red Devils, who entered the game ranked third in the Mid-Atlantic region and 20th in Division III, saw their winning streak snapped at nine games. Etown, currently seventh in the region, outshot their guests 16-7 on the game, including a 10-1 advantage in the second half. Etown returns to action on Saturday, October
17 at home against Moravian College. Game time is 2:30 p.m.
