WILKES-BARRE, Pa. --- Elizabethtown defeated Wilkes 2-0 on the road Saturday to improve to 13-1 overall, and the Blue Jays out-shot the host Colonels 13-4 in the effort.
Elizabethtown scored its first goal 22:29 into the game when J.T. Liss (Bayville, NJ/Central Regional) found the back of the net on assists from Tim Oswald (Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge) and Wyeth Raws (Malvern, PA/West Chester East). Steve Custer (Baltimore, MD/Dundalk) scored Etown's second goal on an assist from Raws in the game's 59th minute.
Wilkes goalkeeper Seth Nye made nine saves for the Colonels, while Etown goalie Matt Gwilliam (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) had three saves for the shutout.
Etown was originally scheduled to return to action at home against Moravian Wednesday, October 25 at 3:30 p.m. However, due to the addition of a home women's soccer conference playoff game that day at 2:30 p.m., the men's game has been shifted to Tuesday, October 24 at 3:30 p.m.
