ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown improved to 6-0 in the Commonwealth Conference and 14-1 overall with a close 1-0 victory over Moravian (7-10 overall, 3-3 conference).
Elizabethtown goaltender Matt Gwilliam (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) made four saves to preserve the Blue Jays' shutout victory. It was Gwilliam's sixth shutout of the season. Moravian's Greg Bechtel (Reading, PA/Exeter) made five saves for the Greyhounds.
The lone goal of the game was scored just 19 seconds into the second half when Wyeth Raws (Malvern, PA/West Chester East) scored on a ball served up by Ryan Wattenschaidt (Jarrettsville, MD/North Harford) and deflected off a Moravian defender.
Elizabethtown returns to action on the road against Messiah Saturday, October 28 for the second annual Marshmallow Trophy game and the final game of the regular season. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
