Etown Blanks Widener, 3-0, in Commonwealth Conference Debut
CHESTER, Pa. --- Elizabethtown won its first Commonwealth Conference game of the season Wednesday, defeating Widener 3-0 on the road. Elizabethtown improves to 3-3 overall with the win and 1-0 in the conference.
After a scoreless first half, Brad Kleinert (Ephrata, PA/Ephrata) broke the stalemate at 47:07 on an assist from Charlie Haines (Hamilton, NJ/Hun School of Princeton).
Tim Filewicz (Wenonah, NJ/Deptford Township) scored his first collegiate goal at 65:48 on an assist from Chris Boushell (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) to give Etown a 2-0 lead. Drew Leisenring (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cedar Cliff) scored the game's final goal at 85:01.
