Etown Defeats Lebanon Valley to Improve to 3-0 in Conference, 6-4 Overall

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown improved to 6-4 overall and 3-0 in the Commonwealth Conference with a 3-2 win over Lebanon Valley in a physical game at Ira R. Herr Field Saturday night.

Elizabethtown jumped out to an early 2-0 lead as Charlie Haines (Hamilton, NJ/Hun School of Princeton) twice scored on a pair of passes from Ryan Wattenschaidt (Jarrettsville, MD/North Harford) within the first fifteen minutes of the game.

Lebanon Valley (7-4, 2-1) struck back in the final ten minutes of the first half with goals by Fran Montgomery and Justin Erb to tie the score going into halftime. The Blue Jays won the game on a goal by J.T. Liss (Bayville, NJ/Central Regional) with 38:55 remaining in the second half.

Elizabethtown returns to action at home against Commonwealth Conference rival Albright Wednesday, October 3 at 7:00 p.m.
