Etown Battles Lebanon Valley to 1-1 Draw

ANNVILLE, Pa. --- Lebanon Valley came within a minute and a half of defeating Elizabethtown for the first time ever, but a goal by Blue Jay senior Brad Confer (Lancaster, PA/Maheim Township), assisted by Brian Albrecht (Baltimore, MD/Patapsco), at 88:31 tied the game at 1-1. Through two overtimes, each team failed to score, resulting in a 1-1 tie that dropped Elizabethtown's record to 6-1-3 overall and 1-0-1 in the Commonwealth Conference. Lebanon Valley's record now stands at 7-1-2 overall and 2-0-1 in the conference.

Brian Sapienza scored Lebanon Valley's lone goal at 50:21 off an assist from Matt Sourbeer.

Elizabethtown actually out-shot Lebanon Valley 25-9, but Lebanon Valley goaltender Christian Koch made 11 stops in the net to halt Elizabethtown's attacks.

Elizabethtown will return to action on the road Saturday, October 5 against Wilkes in a 1:00 p.m. game.
