Kummerer Scores Twice as Etown Defeats Albright, 4-0

READING, Pa. --- Elizabethtown improved to 8-2-3 overall and 2-0-1 in the Commonwealth Conference with a 4-0 road win over Albright Thursday. Albright drops to 0-9-2 overall and 0-4-1 in the conference with the loss.

Andrew Kummerer (Glenmoore, PA/Coatesville) put Elizabethtown on the scoreboard with a goal at 26:20, and Bryan Noll (Fleetwood, PA/Oley Valley) assisted the goal to give Etown a 1-0 lead going into halftime.

Kummerer struck again at 68:00, this time with a goal assisted by Drew Wiley (Lancaster, PA/Manheim Township). A goal at 74:49 by Alex Marshall (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley), the first of his collegiate career, assisted by Wiley and Steve Custer (Baltimore, MD/Dundalk) gave Etown a 3-0 lead. Brian Albrecht (Baltimore, MD/Patapsco) scored Etown's final goal at 75:37 off an assist from Zach Eddinger (Middletown, CT/Middletown).

Etown goaltender Edwin Tichenor (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley) made four saves to preserve the shutout as Etown out-shot Albright 24-8.

Elizabethtown will return to action on the road Saturday, October 12 against the College of New Jersey in a 1:00 p.m. game.
