Fifth-Ranked Etown Improves to 8-1 with 3-0 Win over Delaware Valley

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. --- The nationally fifth-ranked Elizabethtown College men's soccer team improved to 8-1 in 2003 with a 3-0 road win over Delaware Valley (3-7) Wednesday.

Etown, which out-shot Delaware Valley 17-4, scored its first goal courtesy of Bryan Noll (Fleetwood, PA/Oley Valley) at 31:02. Brian Healy (Newark, DE/A.I. DuPont) added an insurance goal at 84:34, and Charlie Haines (Hamilton, NJ/Hun School of Princeton) added Etown's final goal at 88:56.

Michael Ciattei (Jarrettsville, MD/St. Paul's School-Baltimore) made two saves in the Etown net to earn the shutout.

Elizabethtown will return to action on the road Sunday, October 5 against Commonwealth Conference rival Moravian in a 1:00 p.m. game. Moravian was the team that eliminated Elizabethtown from the first round of the Commonwealth Conference playoffs in 2002, thereby ending the Blue Jays' season.
