Etown Defeats Downs College of New Jersey, 2-0, for 10th Win of Season

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Tenth-ranked Elizabethtown hosted the College of New Jersey Saturday and won 2-0 to improve to 10-1-1 overall in 2003. The College of New Jersey drops to 3-9-2 with the loss.

After a scoreless first half where Etown out-shot TCNJ 5-1, the Blue Jays scored their first goal as Will Ellerman (Silver Spring, MD/James Hubert Blake) scored his first goal of the season off a pass from Brian Albrecht (Baltimore, MD/Patapsco) at 66:04. Etown went up 2-0 at 73:20 when Timothy Filewicz (Wenonah, NJ/Deptford) netted a cross pass from Andrew Kummerer (Glenmoore, PA/Coatesville). It was Filewicz's first goal of the season as well.

Michael Ciattei (Jarrettsville, MD/St. Paul's School-Baltimore) made two saves to earn the shutout for Etown. For the game, Etown held an 11-4 advantage in shots and a 7-2 edge in corner kicks.

Etown will return to action on the road Wednesday, October 15 at Albright in a 4:00 p.m. Commonwealth Conference game.
