ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Nationally fourth-ranked Elizabethtown defeated Commonwealth Conference rival Juniata 5-0 at home Saturday night to improve to 15-1-1 overall and 5-0-1 in the conference. Juniata, with the loss, drops to 2-13-1 overall and 1-5 in the conference.

Matt Zimmerman (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) put Elizabethtown on the scoreboard first at 21:27 off a Steve Custer (Baltimore, MD/Dundalk) assist. Casey Moore (Sinking Spring, PA/Wilson) scored Etown's first goal of the second half and his third of the season at 63:29, as he headed the ball in off a set corner kick play served up by Timothy Filewicz (Wenonah, NJ/Deptford) via Andrew Kummerer (Glenmoore, PA/Coatesville).

Chris Boushell (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) added his first goal of the season off another Brynildsen assist at 76:48. Kevin Weiler (Clive, IA/Valley) completed the scoring with his third goal of the season at 86:20 of Brynildsen's third assist.

Elizabethtown out-shot Juniata 33-3 and held a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks. Juniata keeper Nathan Pugh (Shippensburg, PA/Shippensburg) made 10 saves. In the Etown net, Michael Ciattei (Jarrettsville, MD/St. Paul's School-Baltimore), Andrew Jorgensen (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks East) and Edwin Tichenor (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley) teamed up for the shutout. Ciattei played the first half and made two saves, Jorgensen played the first 23 minutes of the second half, and Tichenor played the game's final 22 minutes.

Etown will return to action in the final game of the regular season to play regionally fifth-ranked, defending NCAA Division III and Commonwealth Conference champion Messiah for possession of the Marshmallow Trophy. Elizabethtown will host the game Saturday, November 1 at 2:00 p.m.
