Elizabethtown Keeps Bronze Boot With 1-0 Win over F & M

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown maintained possession of the Smith-Herr Bronze Boot with a 1-0 home victory over Franklin & Marshall Saturday night. The win improves the Blue Jays to 1-1 overall, while F & M drops to 0-1.

Etown goalie Edwin Tichenor (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley) made three saves and stopped numerous cross passes in front of the goal to preserve the shutout, and Blue Jay first-year Steve Petrosky (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central) scored the lone, unassisted goal of the game 12:37 after the start. It was the first goal of his collegiate career.
