Elizabethtown Defeats Bridgewater 1-0 on First Day of Eastern Mennonite Classic

HARRISONBURG, Va. --- Elizabethtown improved to 2-1 overall with a 1-0 win over Bridgewater College on the first day of the Eastern Mennonite University Men's Soccer Classic Saturday.

The only goal of the game came at 39:50 when Zach Eddinger (Middletown, CT/Middletown) took a ball that bounced off the Bridgewater keeper and scored an unassisted goal, his first of 2004. Edwin Tichenor (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley) made three saves in the Etown net to preserve the shutout and victory.

Elizabethtown will return to action Sunday, September 12 for the conclusion of the EMU Classic. Etown will face host Eastern Mennonite at 3:30 p.m.
