ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE MEN'S SOCCER Thursday, September 1, 2005 Elizabethtown Falls to Rutgers-Camden 2-1 in Season Opener CAMDEN, N.J. --- A pair of goals by the host in the final thirty minutes sank nationally 22 nd-ranked Elizabethtown in its 2005 season opener as Rutgers-Camden downed the Blue Jays 2-1 at Camden, N.J. Thursday night. After a scoreless first half, Elizabethtown took a 1-0 lead at 57:12 when a Brennan Reichenbach (Selinsgrove, PA/Selinsgrove Area) corner kick was received by Michael Terry (Beech Creek, PA/Central Mountain), who in turn passed the ball in front of the Rutgers-Camden net to first-year student Wes Bunting (Lancaster, PA/McCaskey), who netted Etown's first goal of the season and the first of his collegiate career. The Etown only lasted for four and a half minutes. Rutgers-Camden's Onur Yilmaz scored off a Pat Baldiserra assist at 61:43 to tie the game 1-1. Rodney Guishard scored the winning goal for Rutgers-Camden at 71:53 off Baldiserra header. Etown out-shot Rutgers-Camden 13-8 and held a 6-5 advantage in shots on goal. Rutgers-Camden held a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks, and Rutgers-Camden goaltender Brent Grunow made five saves. Elizabethtown will return to action on the road Sunday, September 4 at Franklin & Marshall College in a 1:00 p.m. non-conference game.
