Etown Edges Lebanon Valley 1-0

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown held on to its 1-0 lead over Lebanon Valley for over 84 minutes to win after scoring the lone goal in the game’s sixth minute Saturday. With the road win, Etown improves to 7-2-1 overall and 3-0 in the Commonwealth Conference. Lebanon Valley drops to 3-6 overall and 0-2 in the conference with the loss.

Wes Bunting (Lancaster, PA/J.P. McCaskey) scored the goal at 5:27 when he headed a throw-in by Jeff Boushell (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) into the net. Etown out-shot Lebanon Valley 11-8 over the game, and Etown goalie A.J. Fleisher (Kutztown, PA/Kutztown Area) made four saves to preserve the shutout. LVC goalie John Mentzer made six saves.

Etown will return to action at home Wednesday, October 5 against Muhlenberg College in a 7:00 p.m. game.
