Elizabethtown Opens 2006 Season With 1-0 Win over MacMurray

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. --- Elizabethtown opened its 2006 season with a 1-0 road win over MacMurray College in MacMurray's Bill Killen Classic Saturday.

Brennan Reichenbach (Selinsgrove, PA/Selinsgrove Area) scored the game's lone goal for the Blue Jays six minutes into the second half off an assist by Mike McCabe (Milford, PA/Delaware Valley). Josh Hoffman (Schaefferstown, PA/ELCO) Etown in shots with four.

Elizabethtown out-shot MacMurray 18-8 and held a 4-1 edge in corner kicks over the course of the game. Etown goaltender A.J. Fleisher (Kutztown, PA/Kutztown Area) made five saves to preserve the shutout.

Elizabethtown will return to action Sunday, September 3 against Westminster College (Mo.) in the Bill Killen Classic.
