ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE MEN'S SOCCER Saturday, October 6, 2007 Elizabethtown Posts Fourth Straight Shutout With 1-0 Win over William Paterson ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Senior Michael Terry (Beech Creek, PA/Central Mountain) scored in the 23rd minute to give Elizabethtown College a 1-0 victory over William Paterson University in non-conference men's soccer action at Ira R. Herr Field on Saturday afternoon. Terry scored his fourth goal of the season off a crossing pass by senior Mike Helsel (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) at 22:56, and the Blue Jay defense stood tall the rest of the way in recording their fourth consecutive shutout victory. The Blue Jays (10-2-0 overall) also improved to 8-0 at home with the win and won their 11th consecutive home match dating to last season. Elizabethtown finished with an 11-4 advantage in shots over the Pioneers (7-6-0 overall) and took two corner kicks to one by William Paterson. Junior Jeff Mullen (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) moved to 10-1 on the season and notched his sixth shutout of the year without making a save, while David Casper made four stops for the Pioneers.
