Raveling scored in the fifth minute to give the Blue Jays a 1-0 lead and capped a four-goal second-half outburst with a rebound goal at 74:15 as the Blue Jays (13-4-0 overall) improved to 10-0 at home this season and won their 13th straight game at Ira R. Herr Field dating to last season.

Seniors George Severini (Havertown, PA/Haverford) and Mike Helsel (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) each scored a goal and added an assist for the Blue Jays on Senior Night, while junior Matt Diller (Chambersburg, PA/Mercersburg Academy) added his 10th goal of the season against the Thunder, who were NCAA Division III finalists last year.

The Blue Jays took a 1-0 lead just 4:31 into the contest as Raveling headed home a cross by senior Josh Hoffman (Schaefferstown, PA/ELCO), but the Thunder (10-4-1 overall) tied the score at 1-1 as Jason VanderVeen scored the first of his two goals off an assist by Cory Smith at 6:22.

In the second half, Elizabethtown struck just 1:47 into the half as Severini scored his conference-leading 14th goal of the season as he was surrounded by four defenders but still managed to drill a shot to the far corner, with an assist to senior Michael Terry (Beech Creek, PA/Central Mountain).

Diller extended the Elizabethtown lead to 3-1 at 68:22 as a corner kick by Helsel was played off the head of junior Wes Bunting (Lancaster, PA/McCaskey) to Diller, who rifled home the goal.

The Blue Jays struck again at 71:55 as Raveling played the rebound of his shot back to Helsel, whose long strike from 25 yards out found net for his second goal of the year.

Raveling capped the scoring for Elizabethtown at 74:15 as he scored off the rebound of a shot by Severini, and VanderVeen added his second of the match with 5:24 left off assists by Dolph Westlund and Joel DeLass.

Elizabethtown finished with a 12-10 edge in shots over Wheaton and held a 5-4 edge in corner kicks. The contest was a physical affair, with the squads combining for 49 fouls and four yellow cards.

Junior Jeff Mullen (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) finished with four saves for the Blue Jays while Micah Lamb made three stops for the Thunder and Andrew Hitz made no saves.
