ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE MEN'S SOCCER Saturday, November 3, 2007 Messiah Defeats Elizabethtown 1-0 in Commonwealth Conference Championship Match View game pictures here GRANTHAM, Pa. --- Kai Kasiguran scored in the 70th minute to lift Messiah College to a 1-0 victory over Elizabethtown College in the Commonwealth Conference men's soccer championship game at Shoemaker Field on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons (18-2-0 overall), the three-time defending NCAA Division III champions, won their ninth conference championship and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, while the Blue Jays (14-6-0 overall) will learn Sunday evening if they will receive an at-large bid. Kasiguran, who was named tournament Most Valuable Player, gave the Falcons a 1-0 lead with a blast from 25 yards out with just over 20 minutes remaining on the clock. The Blue Jays were outshot by a slight 14-11 margin by the Falcons, while Messiah took six corner kicks to three by Elizabethtown. Junior Jeff Mullen (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) tallied five saves in goal for Elizabethtown while Jared Clugston made five stops for Messiah.
