Elizabethtown Falls 6-1 to Juniata in Commonwealth Conference Match

HUNTINGDON, Pa. --- Elizabethtown dropped to 2-11 overall and 0-3 in the Commonwealth Conference with a 6-1 road loss to Juniata College Tuesday. Juniata improved to 11-1 overall and 4-0 in the conference with the win.

Juniata began the match by taking the doubles point, winning two out of three doubles matches in the process. Winning at number one doubles for Etown was the tandem of Hiep Pham (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin East) and Per Roxendal (Zurich, Switzerland/Literargymnasium Ramibuhl) by an 8-3 margin.

In singles, Etown scored its lone point of the match at number three, where the Blue Jays' Jeff Kirkhoff (Duncannon, PA) won a 6-2, 6-3 contest.

Elizabethtown will return to action on the road Thursday, April 6 at Moravian College in a 3:30 p.m. Commonwealth Conference match.
