Final Results of the Elizabethtown Blue Jay Men’s Tennis Invitational 

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College completed its Blue Jay Invitational in men’s tennis Sunday. The unscored two-day event featured entries from Elizabethtown, Dickinson College, Lebanon Valley College and Wilkes University.

Winning the “A” bracket in singles was Kyle Ungvarsky of Wilkes, who defeated Robbie Dickinson of Dickinson 6-4, 4-6, (12-10) in the championship match. Rich Rosenthal of Dickinson took third place in the “A” bracket with an 8-3 win over Etown’s Per Roxendal (Zurich, Switzerland/Literargymnasium Ramibuhl). Rob Isaacs of Dickinson won the “B” bracket in singles with a 6-4, 4-6, (11-9) championship victory over teammate Whit McFarlane. Shawn Becker of Lebanon Valley took third in “B” singles with a 7-6(4), 6-1 win over John Lowe of Wilkes. In the “C” singles bracket, Andy Carroll of Dickinson defeated teammate Brent Shoemaker 6-2, 6-1. Jared Zeigler of LVC defeated Tom Miller of Wilkes 8-6 for third place in the “C” bracket.

Jackson Parmenter and Eric Schroeder of Dickinson won the “A” doubles bracket by defeating teammates Toni Bujas and Rob Isaacs 8-5. Stuart Hoffman and Zachary Kaufman won the “A” doubles third place match by defeating Ungvarsky and Julian Taibi of Wilkes 8-5. The “B” doubles bracket was conducted as a round-robin series, and not all matches were completed.
