Elizabethtown Downs Villa Julie, 8-1

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- In their first match since returning from spring break, Elizabethtown College rolled to an 8-1 victory over Villa Julie College in non-conference men's tennis action on Tuesday afternoon. The Blue Jays evened their record at 2-2 with the win while the Mustangs fell to 2-6 with the loss.

At first singles, sophomore Brok Walker (Red Lion, PA/Red Lion) was a 6-1, 6-2 winner over Ryan Woodring, while junior Jeff Kirkhoff (Duncannon, PA/Susquenita) downed Mark Allinson 6-3, 6-3 at second singles and senior Andrew Voshell (Chester Heights, PA/Garnet Valley) defeated Kevin Stamm 6-0, 6-0 at third singles.

Sophomore Brandon Stolar (Millville, NJ/Millville) was a 7-5, 7-6 (8-6) winner at fifth singles over Randy Speck, and senior Jim Dombach (Lancaster, PA/Manheim Township) defeated Maurice Walters 2-6, 6-4, (10-3 tiebreaker) at sixth singles.

In doubles, Kirkhoff and Voshell downed Woodring and Allinson 8-3 at flight one, Walker and first-year student Bryan Metz (Hummelstown, PA/Lower Dauphin) knocked off Stamm and Garner 8-4 at flight two, and Dombach and sophomore Mike Steiner (Greensburg, PA/Greater Latrobe) defeated Speck and Walters 9-7.
