MORAVIAN DEFEATS ETOWN, 5-2, IN COMMONWEALTH OPENER

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- After a mid-match delay due to weather, Elizabethtown lost its MAC Commonwealth League opener against Moravian, 5-2, Saturday. Etown falls to 0-2 this season overall.

Etown started off the match by winning the doubles point, as Bill Miller (Oneonta, NY/Sun Valley, PA) and Brian Holton (Mohnton, PA/Governor Mifflin) won 8-3 at number one and Matt Lawless (Windber, PA/Windber) and Gurt Singh (Huntingdon Valley, PA/William Penn Charter School) captured number three, 9-7.

Moravian, however, won all but one singles match to pick up the victory. Bill Miller won a 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 match at number one singles for Etown.

The Blue Jays return to action Monday, March 26 on the road at Eastern. Match time is 3:30 p.m.
