ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown posted a commanding 7-0 win over Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth League rival Widener at home Monday. Etown improved to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in the league with the win, while Widener fell to 2-5 overall and 0-4 in the MAC Commonwealth.
Gurt Singh (Huntingdon Valley, PA/William Penn Charter School) had a resounding 6-0, 6-0 win at number six singles. Singh allowed only four points off serves in the entire match. Also posting big wins were Matt Lawless (Windber, PA/Windber) with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at number five, number four Willem Huiskes (Nÿmegen, Gelderland, The Netherlands/NSG) with a 6-0, 6-2 win, and Bill Miller (Oneonta, NY/Sun Valley, PA) with a 6-1, 6-1 win at number one.
The Blue Jays return to on the road Wednesday, April 4 on the road against Wilkes for a 3:30 p.m. match.
