Blue Jays Blank Juniata, 7-0

HUNTINGDON, Pa. --- Elizabethtown shut out Juniata, 7-0, to improve to 9-9 overall this season. The Blue Jays are 9-2 in their last 11 matches after beginning the season 0-7.

Mike Girgis (Toms River, NJ/Toms River East) held his opponent to just two game wins as he captured the number five singles match for Etown, 6-0, 6-2. At number six singles, Matt Lawless (Windber, PA/Windber) held his opponent to winning three games with a 6-2, 6-1 victory. Also holding his opponent to three game wins was Brian Holton (Mohnton, PA/Governor Mifflin) at number two, with a 6-2, 6-1 victory.

Juniata's only match win came at number two doubles, 8-5

Etown returns to action at home against Lycoming Thursday, April 18 in its final match of the season. Start time is 4:00 p.m.
