Etown Defeats King's, 4-3, Blue Jays Improve to 3-0

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. --- Elizabethtown played its first match in almost two weeks and improved to 3-0 with a 4-3 road win over King's Monday.

Etown rode the back half of its singles lineup to victory, as the Blue Jays swept number four, number five, and number six singles. Josh Miller (Indiana, PA/Indiana) pulled out a hard-fought three-set 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 win at number four, Maurits Dekker (The Hague, The Netherlands/Vrizjinnig Christelijk Lyceum) won 6-1, 6-3 at number five, and Antonio Oliveira (Lancaster, PA/Lancaster Country Day School) crushed his opponent at number six, 6-0, 6-0.

Sude Dhillon (Yardley, PA/The George School) also won for Etown at number two singles, 6-1, 6-2. King's began the match by winning the doubles point with wins in two of the three doubles matches. Etown's lone doubles win came at number one, as Dhillon and Greg Voshell (Chester Heights, PA/Garnet Valley) combined to win 8-4.

Etown will return to action as the host of Muhlenberg Tuesday, March 18 in a 3:00 p.m. match.
