Etown Downs Messiah, 6-1, Miller and Dekker Improve to 20-4 Overall in 2003

GRANTHAM, Pa. --- Elizabethtown improved to 9-3 overall and 2-1 in the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth League with a 6-1 road trouncing of Messiah Saturday.

Etown won every match except for number three singles. Josh Miller (Indiana, PA/Indiana) and Maurits Dekker (The Hague, The Netherlands/Vrizjinnig Christelijk Lyceum) continued their season-long tear through their opponents, as the pair teamed up for an 8-0 win at number two doubles, and Miller won 4-6, 6-1, 6-0 at number four singles and Dekker took his number five singles match 7-5, 6-3. Both now have 20-4 overall records in 2003, with matching 11-1 marks in singles play and a 9-3 record as a doubles team.

Etown will return to action on the road Sunday, April 13 against MAC Commonwealth League rival Lebanon Valley in a 1:00 p.m. match.
