Sude Dhillon and Greg Voshell Advance to Doubles Semifinals, Maurits Dekker and Josh Miller Reach Doubles Quarterfinals, on First Day of MAC Individual Tennis Championships

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. --- Elizabethtown received standout performances from its doubles entries on the first day of the Middle Atlantic Conference men's tennis individual championships, held at King's College and Wilkes University Friday. One Etown doubles team, second seeded Sude Dhillon (Yardley, PA/George School) and Greg Voshell (Chester Heights, PA/Garnet Valley), remains alive in the tournament while the other, seventh-seeded Maurits Dekker (The Hague, The Netherlands/Vrizjinnig Christelijk Lyceum) and Josh Miller (Indiana, PA/Indiana) reached the quarterfinal round before bowing out.

Dhillon and Voshell received a first round bye, while Dekker and Miller defeated their opponents 6-3, 7-5 in the first round. In the second round, Dhillon and Voshell won 6-1, 6-3, while Dekker and Miller won 7-6, 4-6, 6-0. Dekker and Miller fell to the top seeded team in the quarterfinal round, 6-1, 6-1, while Dhillon and Voshell won 6-2, 6-1 over the fifth-seeded team, setting up a Saturday semifinal match against the third-seeded pair from Susquehanna.
