Etown Falls to Dickinson, 5-2

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown fell 5-2 in a non-conference home match against Dickinson College Tuesday. The Blue Jays dropped to 4-4 overall with the loss, while Dickinson improved to 5-3 with the win.

Greg Voshell (Chester Heights, PA/Garnet Valley) and Thomas Nyst (Apeldoorn, The Netherlands/Walter Bosch) were the lone victors for Etown. The two won 8-2 as the Blue Jays' number one doubles tandem, and they each won their singles matches as well. Nyst cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 win at number one singles. At number three singles, Voshell lost the first set 6-2 and found himself down in the second set before rallying to force a set tiebreaker, which he won 7-3. That in turn forced a match tiebreaker in which he lost the first three points before rallying to win 11-9.

Etown will return to action Saturday, April 2 at noon at home in a non-conference match against Waynesburg.
