Blue Jays Defeat Moravian 6-1, Improve to 3-0 in Conference

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown improved to 7-4 overall and 3-0 in the Commonwealth Conference with a 6-1 win over Moravian College (3-6 overall, 2-3 conf.) Saturday.

Etown began the match by winning the doubles point after sweeping all three doubles matches. In the singles matches, four Blue Jays surrendered four games or less in their matches. Josh Miller (Indiana, PA/Indiana) won a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at number four, and Pepijn Dekker (The Hague, The Netherlands/VCL) won 6-1, 6-0 at number five. At number six, Erik Sawchuk (Royersford, PA/Spring-Ford) won 6-1, 6-1, and Greg Voshell (Chester Heights, PA/Great Valley) won 6-2, 6-2 at number three.

Etown will return to action Monday, April 11 when it hosts Albright College in a 4:00 p.m. conference match.
