Blue Jays Improve to 5-0 in Conference with 7-0 Shutout of Susquehanna

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown improved to 9-4 overall and 5-0 in the Commonwealth Conference with a 7-0 win over Susquehanna University on the road Thursday.

In doubles, Thomas Nyst (Apeldoorn, The Netherlands/Walter Bosch) and Greg Voshell (Chester Heights, PA/Garnet Valley) teamed up for an 8-0 win at number one. At number two, Josh Miller (Indiana, PA/Indiana) and Pepijn Dekker (The Hague, The Netherlands/VCL) won 8-2, and Yero Saponjian (Yerevan, Armenia/Oshavan) and Erik Sawchuk (Royersford, PA/Spring-Ford) won 8-4 at number three doubles.

In singles, Nyst won a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at number one, Voshell won 6-1, 6-0 at number three, and Sawchuk won 6-0, 6-1 at number six. Both Miller and Dekker won 6-2, 6-1 at number four and five, respectively. At number two singles, Saponjian won 6-4, 6-4.

Etown will return to action at home Friday, April 15 against conference rival Juniata College in a 4:00 p.m. match.
