Elizabethtown College Men's Track and Field Blue Jays Compete at Seamus McElligott Invitational HAVERFORD, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College men's track and field team was in action at the Seamus McElligott Invitational on the campus of Haverford College on Saturday afternoon. Senior Kevin Clark (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) posted a pair of victories for the Blue Jays, winning the pole vault and breaking his own meet record with a height of 4.58 meters (15 feet, 1/4 inch) and winning the long jump with a mark of 6.37 meters (20 feet, 10 3/4 inches). He also finished third in the 200 meters at 23.55 seconds. Senior Drew Graybeal (Woodbine, MD/Glenelg) finished seconds in the 400 meters at 49.89 seconds, followed by sophomore Kyle Grimm (Pottstown, PA/Pottsgrove) in fourth place at 52.48 seconds. Grimm added a fifth-place finish in the 200 meters at 23.76 seconds. Sophomore AJ Farris (Edgewood, MD/Joppatowne) was second in the 55 meters at 6.67 seconds, and sophomore Elton Dos Santos (Philadelphia, PA/Penn Charter) took third in the 55-meter hurdles at 8.78 seconds. Junior Dylan Rulander (Russell, PA/Eisenhower) finished fourth in the 800 meters with a time of 1:59.08, and junior James Munnelly (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks East) placed seventh in 1:59.97, with each setting personal bests in the event. Senior Ryan St. Clair (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) was fifth in the 5000 meters at 15:40.27, followed by junior Jeremy Matula (Bath, PA/Northampton) in sixth at 15:49.27. Junior Phil Alder (Pottstown, PA/Pottsgrove) was second in the pole vault at 3.51 meters (11 feet, 6 1/4 inches) and fifth in the long jump at 5.48 meters (17 feet, 11 3/4 inches). The Blue Jays concluded the meet with a victory in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:28.88. The line-up of Grimm (53.3), sophomore Mike Mauger (Pottstown, PA/The Hill School) (53.6), Graybeal (50.0), and Rulander (51.8) posted the 8th fastest indoor 4X400m in school history. |
