Blue Jays In Action at New Balance Collegiate Invitational

NEW YORK, N.Y. --- Members of the Elizabethtown College men's track and field team competed at the eighth annual New Balance Collegiate Invitational at the 168th Street Armory on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, senior Drew Graybeal (Woodbine, MD/Glenelg) finished 12th in a field of 80 runners in the 800 meters with a time of 1:55.15, taking third among non-Division I athletes in the event.

Sophomore A.J. Farris (Edgewood, MD/Joppatowne) ran the men's 60 meters in 7.25 seconds on Friday and followed on Saturday by completing the 200 meters in 23.74 seconds.

On Saturday, senior Kevin Clark (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham), the defending NCAA Division III champion in the indoor pole vault, placed eighth out of 16 vaulters in the championship division event. He cleared 5.05 meters (16 feet, 6 3/4 inches) as the lone non-Division I competitor in the event.

Elizabethtown also competed in a pair of relay events, with the men's distance medley relay team of Graybeal (3:11.0) sophomore Kyle Grimm (Pottstown, PA/Pottsgrove) (52.1), junior Dylan Rulander (Russell, PA/Eisenhower) (1:58.7) and senior Ryan St. Clair (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) (4:28.2) finishing 12th with a time of 10:30.94.

The men's 4x400-meter relay quartet of Grimm (51.6), junior James Munnelly (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks East) (53.1), Graybeal (49.4) and Rulander (51.6) was 10th in 3:26.08, the sixth-fastest time in program history.
