Blue Jays Finish Fourth at DuCharme Invitational

CARLISLE, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College men's track and field team competed at the DuCharme Invitational at Dickinson College on Saturday afternoon, finishing fourth out of 11 teams with 73 points.

The Blue Jays netted four individual victories and one relay win on the day, led by senior Kevin Clark (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) who posted his fifth win of the season in the pole vault at 16 feet, 1 1/2 inches.

Sophomore A.J. Farris (Edgewood, MD/Joppatowne) won the 55 meters in 6.71 seconds, senior Dave Bresnahan (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) captured the mile in 4:32.45 and junior Dylan Rulander (Russell, PA/Eisenhower) took first in the 800 meters with a time of 1:59.18.

Other top finishers were junior James Munnelly (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks East), who was second in the 800 meters (2:00.73) folllowed by sophomore Kyle Grimm (Pottstown, PA/Pottsgrove) in seventh place at 2:04.00.

Sophomore Myles Lund (Berwyn, PA/Conestoga) finished fifth in the 3,000 meters (9:12.66), sophomore Mike Mauger (Pottstown, PA/The Hill School) was seventh in the 200 meters (24.53 seconds) and junior Jason Mastroianni (Macungie, PA/Emmaus) was eighth in the 400 meters (54.31 seconds).

In addition, the 4x400-meter relay team took home a win as it crossed the line in a time of 3:33.09, while the 4x200-meter relay team was third in a time of 1:35.38.

Gettysburg College won the team title with 132 points, followed by Dickinson (118.50), Messiah College (80 points) and Elizabethtown.
