Elizabethtown Competes at Widener Invitational

CHESTER, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College men's track and field team participated at the Widener Invitational on Saturday, at the site of the upcoming Middle Atlantic Conference championships.

Senior Kevin Clark (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) was the top individual finisher for the Blue Jays, as he took third in the 400 hurdles with a time of 56.83 seconds.

Senior Drew Graybeal (Woodbine, MD/Glenelg) finished sixth in the 200 meters (22.34 seconds), sophomore Elton Dos Santos (Philadelphia, PA/Penn Charter) was sixth in the 110 hurdles (17.03 seconds), and senior Dave Bresnahan (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) took ninth in the 5,000 meters (15:23.20)

In the 4x400 meters, the Blue Jays finished second out of 18 teams with a time of 3:23.68, just behind Division II West Chester University. Running the relay for Elizabethtown were junior Dylan Rulander (Russell, PA/Eisenhower) (51.5 seconds), junior James Munnelly (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks East) (52.0 seconds), Graybeal (47.8 seconds) and junior Phil Alder (Pottstown, PA/Pottsgrove).

The 4x100 meter relay team of sophomore Mike Mauger (Pottstown, PA/The Hill School), Clark, sophomore Wyatt Eaton (York, PA/Eastern York) and junior Jared Rosenau (Ambler, PA/Upper Dublin) finished fifth in 43.45 seconds.

In field events, senior Jason Yurchak (Franklinville, NJ/Delsea Regional) took fourth in the pole vault (13 feet, 11 1/4 inches), sophomore Tim Katzaman (Wyomissing, PA/Wyomissing) was ninth in the discus (121 feet, 3 inches), and sophomore Shaun Healey (Neshanic Station, NJ/Somerville) was ninth in the javelin (167 feet, 10 inches).
