Elizabethtown College Men's Track and Field Elizabethtown Track Peaking at Right Time With Top Performances at Swat Last Chance Meet SWARTHMORE, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College men's track and field team competed in its final meet prior to the NCAA Division III championships on Tuesday night at the Swarthmore College Last Chance Meet. Senior Drew Graybeal (Woodbine, MD/Glenelg) won the 800 meters with a personal-record time of 1:50.99 that just missed the program record of 1:50.66 set in 2006 by Tyson Evensen. Senior Kevin Clark (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) also claimed a victory as he won the pole vault with a height of 15 feet, 11 1/4 inches. In other events, sophomore A.J. Farris (Edgewood, MD/Joppatowne) was fifth in the 100 meters (11.08 seconds) and senior Bryan Marison (Birdsboro, PA/Daniel Boone) finished eighth in the discus (106 feet, 11 inches) In the pole vault, senior Jason Yurchak (Franklinville, NJ/Delsea Regional) took sixth with a height of 14 feet, 3 1/4 inches, the fourth-best mark in program history and a personal record. Other top performances came from senior Dave Bresnahan (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson), who was tenth in the 5,000 meters and set a personal record with a time of 15:20.85, the ninth-best mark in school history. The men's 4x400-meter relay team of Farris (50.7 seconds), junior Dylan Rulander (Russell, PA/Eisenhower) (49.7 seconds), Clark (48.5 seconds) and Graybeal (48.3 seconds) finished in a time of 3:17.78 that is a season best and the third-fastest in program history. |
