Frank Rivera follows the plan and finishes 28th.  The orange singlets with the blue "E" in addition to a perfectly timed peak perfomance and a come-from-behind strategy had a lot of people outside THE PROGRAM scratching their heads as to how Etown came in second out of 30 teams.

1998: 24th in the Mideast Region.
1999: 24th in the Nation.
WOW!  With two guys in the top 10 and all five in the top 35, Etown makes the dream a reality.  Up next... the NCAA Division III National Championships in... Wisconsin... in November... Brr!

All the miles in the 20-week training schedule, the 7:00 a.m. pool workouts, the carefully planned out and executed lactate threshold, aerobic power and VO2 max. workouts, the mental imagery sessions... it all leads to setting the stage for dreams to come true.  This was the greatest day in ECXC history!

A coach's dream.  Two of the hardest-working, most consistent, most focused and nicest people a coach can work with. Senior captains Larry Bullock and Gretchen Junko. There will never be another pair like you.
