Etown's JV Squad Finishes Ninth at Lebanon Valley Invitational

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. --- Resting its top runners, Elizabethtown ran its junior varsity squad at the Lebanon Valley College Invitational Saturday, and the team finished ninth at the meet.

Underscoring the extent of Elizabethtown's depth, freshman Greg Wetzel (Warrington, PA/Central Bucks East), the Blue Jays' number ten runner, finished in 12th place at the meet and beat the number four runner for Dickinson. Wetzel's time over the 7800m course was 26:40.

Sophomore Chris Williams (Dillsburg, PA/Northern York) was Etown's second finisher, coming in at 18th place with a time of 26:57.

Elizabethtown will race its full squad for the first time this season when it hosts the Elizabethtown College Invitational Saturday, September 21. The race will begin at the Environmental Center of Lancaster County Central Park, just outside Lancaster, Pa.
