Etown Finishes Third at Williams Plansky Invitational

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. --- Elizabethtown finished third out of six teams at the Plansky Invitational Saturday, hosted by Williams College in Williamstown, Mass. Etown's score of 53 points placed them behind winner UMass-Lowell, which had 46 points, and Haverford, which came in second with 49 points. It was the first time Haverford had beaten Etown in 2002, and the result is bound to impact the regional and national rankings for both teams.

Etown's top finisher was Dustin Scott (Honey Brook, PA/Twin Valley), who came in third in the 72 runner field with a time of 19:31 over the 6000m course. Steve Sanko (Hazleton, PA/Bishop Hafey) was Etown's only other top ten finisher, as he placed 10th overall in 19:52. José Miranda (Harrisburg, PA/Susquehanna Township) and Matt Rockwell (Plymouth, NH/Plymouth Regional) came in 11th and 12th respectively, in times of 19:54 and 19:55.

Etown will race its "B" teams next week at the Gettysburg Invitational Saturday, October 26.
