ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY Etown Top-Finishing Division III Team at Lock Haven Invitational LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown finished seventh out of 16 teams and first among the four NCAA Division III teams competing at the Lock Haven University Invitational Saturday. The Blue Jays had recently added the meet to their schedule following the cancellation of the September 20 Elizabethtown Invitational due to hurricane damage sustained by the course. Steve Sanko (Hazleton, PA/Bishop Hafey) was the Blue Jays' top finisher, coming in at 19th place out of 191 runners with a time of 25:39. Greg Wetzel (Warrington, PA/Central Bucks East) finished nine places and 17 seconds behind Sanko, and Matt Rockwell (Plymouth, NH/Plymouth Regional) was the number three Blue Jay finisher in 51st place with a time of 26:37. Senior co-captain Sean Mulcahy (Towanda, PA/Towanda) placed fourth in 26:44, finishing 54th overall, and first-year Brent Landis (Quarryville, PA/Solanco) broke into the top five for the first time in his collegiate career with a 68th-place finish in 27:10, finishing just ahead of displacers Nate Moore (Elverson, PA/Twin Valley) and Chris Williams (Dillsburg, PA/Northern York), who placed 75th and 77th, respectively, in 27:17 and 27:18. Elizabethtown, which is in the midst of the most intense phase of its training cycle, will return to action at the Hanover College Pre-National Invitational Friday, October 10. There, the Blue Jays will get to test out the 2003 NCAA Division III Championship course while competing against some of the best teams in Division III. Lock Haven University Invitational:
