Blue Jays Finish Third on Short Course at Dickinson Invitational

HAVERFORD, Pa. --- Elizabethtown competed on the short course of the Dickinson College Short Course/Long Course Invitational Saturday. There the Blue Jays finished third out of 29 teams on the 4k course with a time of 30 points. Only Allegheny (10 points) and Carnegie-Mellon (27 points) finished ahead of Etown.

Patrick Donovan (South Pasadena, CA/St. Francis) was Etown’s top finisher out of 204 total runners with a finish of fifth place in 12:34. He spearheaded a host of six Blue Jays who finished in the race’s top twenty. David Cohen (Allentown, PA/William Allen) came in 12th in 12:48 for Etown, Jason Theobald (Honesdale, PA/Honesdale) finished 13th in 12:48, and Greg Wetzel (Warrington, PA/Central Bucks East) finished 15th in 12:50. Also finishing in 12:50 was Ryan Mulcahy (Towanda, PA/Towanda) , who finished in 17th place, and Tyson Evensen (West Sand Lake, NY/Averill Park) finished 19th in 12:56 for Etown.

Said Etown head coach Chris Straub, "This week marked a nice improvement, and I feel we're back on track with our goals for the year."
