Elizabethtown “B” Team Places Seventh at Lebanon Valley Invitational

ANNVILLE, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College men’s cross country team ran its “B” squad at the Lebanon Valley College Invitational Saturday, and the Blue Jays finished seventh out of 15 scoring teams with a score of 175. The 8000m race was held at Memorial Lake State Park near Ft. Indiantown Gap, Pa.

Dylan Rulander '09 was Etown's #2 finisher.

All six Blue Jays who competed in the race finished in the top 50 among the 137 finishers. Junior Jon Slusser (Macungie, PA/Emmaus) was Etown’s top finisher in 27th in 29:02. Sophomore Dylan Rulander (Russell, PA/Eisenhower) was 34th in 29:20, and first-year student Myles Lund (Berwyn, PA/Conestoga) was 36th in 29:24. Sophomore Scott Derkacz (Huguenot, NY/Port Jervis) finished 38th in 29:30, while sophomore Jeremy Matula (Bath, PA/Northampton) was 44th in 29:41. Junior George Nicholas (Marietta, PA/Donegal) finished 47th in 29:57.

Elizabethtown will return to action at the James Madison University Invitational Saturday, September 16.
