Elizabethtown Finishes Fourth at Invitational

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College men's cross country team hosted the 4th annual Elizabethtown Invitational at the Elizabethtown Fairgrounds on Saturday morning.

The Blue Jay men finished fourth out of 19 scoring teams with 114 points, finishing behind team champion Shippensburg University (31), Salisbury University (59) and the University of Mary Washington (99).

Leading the Blue Jays was senior Ryan St. Clair (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg), who placed 13th with a time of 19:53. Sophomore Myles Lund (Berwyn, PA/Conestoga) finished 15th in 19:58, junior Dylan Rulander (Russell, PA/Eisenhower) was 20th in 20:11 and junior Scott Derkacz (Huguenot, NY/Port Jervis) placed 30th in 20:25.

Also for the Blue Jays, junior Jeremy Matula (Bath, PA/Northampton) was 43rd in 20:48 and first-year student Rich Greco (Holmdel, NJ/Holmdel) took 45th in 20:52.

Eric Graves of Salisbury was the race winner with a time of 19:07, followed by Greg Wetzel '06 of the Elizabethtown Alumni team in second at 19:19.
