ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY Elizabethtown Finishes 13th at NCAA Mideast Regional Championships BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College men's cross country team finished its 2007 season with a 13th-place finish at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional championship meet at Lehigh University on Saturday afternoon. Junior Scott Derkacz (Huguenot, NY/Port Jervis) led the Blue Jays with a 53rd-place finish in a time of 26:27, followed by sophomore Myles Lund (Berwyn, PA/Conestoga) in 60th place at 26:35 and senior Ryan St. Clair (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) in 92nd place at 27:05. Junior Jeremy Matula (Bath, PA/Northampton) came in 108th with a time of 27:22, first-year student Chris Heisey (Middletown, PA/Middletown) was 122nd with a time of 27:34 and senior Drew Graybeal (Woodbine, MD/Glenelg) was 127th with a time of 27:37. Haverford College won the team title with 45 points, and earned an automatic bid to next week's NCAA Division III championships along with runner-up Allegheny College (52 points). Carnegie Mellon University (71 points), Dickinson College (108 points) and Johns Hopkins University (185 points) rounded out the top five. Brian Harvey of Carnegie Mellon won the individual championship by crossing the 8,000-meter course in a time of 24:44, winning by two seconds over Ryan Place of Allegheny.
