Four Elizabethtown Athletes Named Commonwealth Conference Women's Soccer All-Stars

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. — Four members of the 2001 Elizabethtown College women's soccer team have been named Commonwealth Conference all-stars. Making the conference first team from Etown included Dina Jingoli (Morrisville, PA/Notre Dame [NJ]), a senior midfielder, senior forward Nicole Hundley (Lititz, PA/Manheim Township), and sophomore defender Megan Halladay (Wallingford, PA/Strath Haven). Making the conference second team from Elizabethtown was first-year midfielder Courtney Phillips (Mechanicsburg, PA/Mechanicsburg).

Jingoli started all 20 games for the Blue Jays in 2001. She finished the season as the leading scorer on the team with three goals and 15 assists for 21 points. Her 15 assists broke the Elizabethtown single-season record of 13 set in 1989.

Through four seasons, Jingoli collected 21 goals and 37 assists for 79 career points. Her career assist total of 37 is the Elizabethtown program record. In 1999 and 2000, she was a member of the Middle Atlantic Conferences' Academic Honor Roll and a Commonwealth Conference all-star. She was also the 2000 Commonwealth Conference Co-MVP.

Jingoli is majoring in elementary education with a minor in human services at Elizabethtown. She is a 1998 graduate of Notre Dame (NJ) High School.

Nicole Hundley started all 20 games for the Blue Jays this season. Hundley scored five goals and had eight assists for eighteen points.

Her career totals through four years include 25 goals and 30 assists for 80 career points. She ranks sixth all-time at Etown in career goals, fifth in career points, and fifth in career assists. She was named to the MAC Academic Honor Roll in 1999 and 2000, and this is her first time on a conference all-star team.

Hundley is majoring in math education at Elizabethtown. She is a 1998 graduate of Manheim Township High School.

Megan Halladay started eighteen and played in all twenty games for the Blue Jays, scoring four goals for eight points this season.

Over the course of her career, she compiled six goals and one assist for 13 points. In 2000, Halladay was named a second team all-star by the Commonwealth Conference.

Halladay is majoring in business at Elizabethtown. She is a 2000 graduate of Strath Haven High School.

Courtney Phillips started in all 20 games as a freshman for the Blue Jays this season. She led the team in shots on goal with 52, and left her mark with four goals and four assists for 12 points.

Phillips is majoring in communications at Elizabethtown. She is a 2001 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School.

Elizabethtown concluded its 2001 season with a 15-5 overall record in a 3-1 loss to Muhlenberg in the NCAA Division III tournament Mid-Atlantic Regional. With a 15-5 finish, the Blue Jays concluded the season with a .750 winning percentage, their best since 1997.
